We will be continuing our STEM program from last year that included hands on builds and 3-D sketching.  We will also be trying to get up to our STEM computer lab and exploring all the amazing programs it has to offer.

Grades will be taken on class participation, daily assignments, and tests.  I try to run the class in a 2-3 week cycle.  Some lessons require us to go a little slower than others and it all depends on how well we are getting the information.  We will work at a pace the benefits the class as a whole.

Day 1:  Engagement Activity.  This is a class discussion or activity to check prior/previous knowledge.(25 pts)

Day 2-4:  Station Labs.  These are hands on stations set up around the room used to for Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration and Evaluation. (50 pts)

Day 5-7: Power Point Notes/Discussion.  These notes will be hand written into one of the two notebooks required for the class.  These will include graphs, tables and sketches. (50 pts)

Day 8:  Interactive Notebooks(INB’s).  These are fill in, cut out and glue in activities that reinforce the information from our notes and what we learned in the station labs.  These will go in our second notebook that is required for the class. (50 pts)

Day 9:  Modified Notes.  This is a fill in the blank paper that we do as a class.  This allows us to go over our notes again together and discuss anything that a student might be struggling to understand.  This also serves as a study guide that i ask all students to take home and study for the test.  I also allow this paper to be signed by parent/guardian and brought back to school for 10 bonus points on the test.  The paper must be completed and signed for the points to be awarded.

Day 10:  Test (100 pts)

Grading Scale is as Followed:
